Cell diabetes screening clinic coming to Open Door Mission Thursday

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – This Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Open Door Mission will host a visiting team of health care students offering free screenings to those in need.

The team will offer “Diabetes Screenings, Health Screenings, Foot Care Screenings and More”.

Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccinations are also offered to anyone who wants them.

“Staying healthy can be challenging for men, women, and children affected by homelessness, but such health screenings can help prevent future problems,” said Amy Harvey, chief community relations officer for Open Door Mission. “We appreciate everything the Nebraska Methodist is doing to help this vulnerable population by hosting the Mobile Diabetes Center and other events year-round to help people stay healthy,” said Harvey.
