People with prediabetes – blood sugar levels above normal – are 5-15 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than people with normal blood sugar levels. In fact, many people with prediabetes can be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes within 5 years.

The program’s group setting provides a supportive environment with people facing similar challenges and trying to make the same changes.

Prevent T2 is based on research that has shown that people with prediabetes who have lost 5 to 7 percent of their body weight through modest changes reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%.
