A Health Mannequin Tried Sylvester Stallone’s Excessive ‘Rocky 3’ Food plan

Bodybuilder and YouTuber Aseel Soueid has eaten and trained like some of the fittest people in sport and show business, from NBA legend Michael Jordan to WWE star actor John Cena. In his latest video, Soueid spends a day following the extremely specific diet plan Stallone recently outlined to dramatically reduce himself to just 2.9 percent body fat while filming Rocky III.

For breakfast Soueid starts with just a small oatmeal and brown rice biscuit and a cup of black coffee with honey and a scoop of amino acids. Shortly afterwards, a somewhat richer pre-workout meal follows: an omelette made from 3 egg whites and a whole egg, and Irish oatmeal with mango and dates, a slice of bread and even more coffee. And since this is a Rocky-inspired diet challenge, Soueid decides to recreate the infamous moment when Stallone drinks raw eggs on-screen … and things don’t go well.

The third meal consists of chicken breast, summer squash, and lettuce, plus another cup of black coffee and honey (Stallone reportedly drank up to 25 cups a day). “I’m officially a fan of summer squash,” says Soeuid. “It’ll add tons of volume to your meals and it’s super low in calories too, so you’ll eat tons of it, fill you up, and it won’t weaken your body so I can see why Rocky is including his diet.” But it doesn’t go well with coffee and honey. Definitely not.”

For the fourth meal, Soueid eats grilled tilapia on a sandwich with nothing but salad, a dry and clumsy dining experience that he describes as “miserable”. He follows with a last cup of coffee and another oat biscuit, which brings his total food intake to just under 2,000 calories for the day.
