Ageing & In-Residence Providers to renew COVID-19 diet program to assist older adults who might have the assistance

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Waynes NBC) – Executives at Aging & In-Home Services in Northeast Indiana (AIHS) announced that they will restart their COVID-19 nutrition program to help older adults who may be in need need.

Those in charge said the Grab n ‘Go meal distribution program will resume in March to meet the ongoing nutritional needs of older adults in the community.

Organizers said the program was designed to address hunger and food insecurity issues safely and quickly while minimizing contact to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

They said reservations will be required and people can start their reservations on March 1st.

Each Eligible Person receives long-life meals for two weeks.

To qualify for the program, you must be at least 60 years old.

To make a reservation, please call Sharri at (260) 745-1200. 234 or JC at (260) 745-1200, ext. 280. After making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation date and time for collection.

Meal collection is available from Aging & In-Home Services at 8101 West Jefferson Boulevard.

Photo identification, telephone number and confirmation of reservation are required upon arrival.
