Rich Woodman, owner of RW Fitness, is rising to his biggest challenge yet by creating @ The-Hub, a community-inspired space where people of all abilities can come and take over 30 classes per week.

The ambitious Albrighton entrepreneur is determined to empower individuals to improve their wellbeing and achieve healthier lifestyles. He’s just started converting the Cosford Grange Farm Shop into a dedicated fitness center that will house two private PT rooms, spin bikes and a central class area and a variety of the latest fitness equipment.

Three jobs will be created immediately and members can expect to be taught pound rockout. Workout ‘DDP yoga, boxing, HIIT stretches, BodyBurn with the longer-term plan to introduce pole-fit classes, and BollyFit, an Indian dance-fitness fusion that is proving extremely popular.

“Covid-19 has been really tough and as we come out of lockdown we all need something positive to focus on. It has been proven that getting fitter and leading a healthier lifestyle can improve all aspects of your life “said Richard, who offered free Zoom fitness classes during lockdowns.

“We want @ The-Hub to be different from the great gyms in the region. It was completely community inspired and as the name suggests we want it to be a hub for lots of great fitness activities, classes and even a place for people to socialize.

“I’ve been doing PT for 10 years now and felt it was time to put all the good things I learned into a company that will really help the locals.

“Anyone can join and participate, whether you’re just starting out, a regular trainer, or someone looking to achieve a personal best (PB).

“We will also have a buddy system for nervous people and there will be many classes for children and families to attend.”

Work at @ The-Hub is slated to be completed by the end of June for an official opening on July 1st.

The makeover includes glass work, rubber mats, two PT rooms, retrofit bikes, music systems, new toilets, a shower room, and a social bar that serves alcohol, fruit drinks, and shakes.

Three companies have already signed up to run their own classes from the venue, including Leanne Anderson of Compass Fitness, Rebecca Jenks of Spirit Warrior Yoga, and Hayley Baker of Boogie Bounce. A connection with Bright Star Boxing has now been confirmed.

Rich, who has appointed Diana Nixon to manage the gym, added, “We are setting membership at £ 40 per month. This includes all courses and online access to live streaming if you are unable to attend in person. Individuals can also pay £ 5 per class they wish to attend if they want less regular engagements.

“The response from the local people and the economy has been impressive: three fitness specialists have signed up, an army of Albrighton dealers helping with the redesign, and the Next Door Bar in the village have agreed to sponsor the children’s sessions .

“@ The-Hub will help us get out of Covid-19 stronger than ever and give everyone the opportunity to use the community spirit we saw during the pandemic to have fun, get fit and have a good one enjoy mental health. “
