All Planet Fitness locations in Massachusetts will increase their capacity to 100% on Saturday, May 29, according to a spokesman for the New Hampshire-based gym chain. Additionally, Planet Fitness members, guests, and employees at any of Bay State’s 75 locations that are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may find themselves inside without a face mask. The announcements came after Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced on Monday that all remaining COVID-19 restrictions and capacity restrictions would be lifted effective May 29, a Saturday. According to updated government guidelines, people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer need to wear masks in most cases. All industry restrictions will be lifted and the capacity for all industries increased to 100%. The all-inclusive limit is also being lifted, Baker said: “We will trust everyone will do the right thing,” said Steven Lombardi, Planet Fitness regional manager. Additionally, Planet Fitness members, guests, and employees can go inside without a face mask at any of the 75 locations in Bay State that are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to updated government guidelines, people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer need to wear masks in most cases. All industry restrictions will be lifted and the capacity for all industries increased to 100%. The collection limit is also being lifted, Baker said.
