The reduced HbA1c levels and LDL cholesterol levels were brought under control in just 12 weeks after consuming almonds. The study was conducted on 275 participants with prediabetes. 59 men and 216 women took part in this study. The group ate 56 grams or 340 calories of unroasted almonds daily for three months. The HbA1c level decreased significantly in all persons. There was fasting blood sugar in everyone who took almonds.
