SANDPOINT – The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce welcomed BarreX Fitness & Dance with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

With over 30 years of combined ballerina / dancer, performer and elementary school teacher experience, Devyn Vaughan-Jolley decided to capitalize on those talents and open a barre studio in downtown Sandpoint.

As a loving wife and mother of six, she was looking for a way to connect, help others, and stay healthy. Of course, she returned to her roots of dancing and teaching. To take her fitness to the next level, she became an AFAA (Athletic & Fitness Association of America) certified group fitness instructor and has been teaching barre for three years. She is trained and certified in 7 plus barre methods, four dance fitness formats, tabata, and more. Vaughan-Jolley trains regularly to stay up to date with the latest trends and to become a well-rounded fitness trainer.

Her passion for teaching over the years and seeing participants achieve their health goals as well as their own through Barre led her to the decision to open BarreX Fitness & Dance.

β€œIt was a dream of mine to open my own studio and it was my personal responsibility for the legacy that I wanted to create,” said Vaughan-Jolley. β€œI envisioned BarreX as a place to support, uplift, and encourage others on their fitness journeys. I am humble and grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me and this would not have been possible without the support of my family. I’m excited to be sharing BarreX Fitness and Dance as the first barre studio in Sandpoint. ”
