PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) – D-60 in the city of Pueblo is currently reviewing options for the Nutritional Services Department. D-60 told 11 News that this process will be carried out periodically to ensure that the district’s money is being spent in the best possible way for the benefit of the students.

D-60 posted a message sent to all employees on February 18, 2021:

“District 60 is currently evaluating options for an outside management provider for our nutritional services division. This process, which is only in the preliminary phase, does NOT affect the eligibility for lunch. Students continue to receive breakfast and lunch, as well as free meal programs and summer lunch programs. Additionally, all free meals offered under the USDA COVID exemptions will be served non-stop through June. “

D-60 says nothing has been set in stone and they are exploring their options. They also say these efforts would have no impact on the current COVID-19 food projects as these are government funded.

We will update this article as more information becomes available.
