North Oaks Cardiology Clinic Nurse and General Practitioner Charlie Shelton will delve deeper into ways to reduce the risk of heart disease at the next North Oaks Diabetes Education Meeting on July 13th, 4-5pm

The topics of diabetes-related heart disease and the management of blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and weight will be discussed in the free session.

North Oaks Diabetes Education Meetings are held at the North Oaks Diagnostic Center at 15837 Paul Vega, MD, Drive in Hammond.

During the meeting, the COVID-19 safety measures that apply to health facilities as set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state of Louisiana will apply.

North Oaks Diabetes Education offers monthly group meetings. Subject matter experts are invited to discuss insights on current health issues related to diabetes to help attendees lead healthier lives.

Each meeting also includes time for participants to ask questions and share experiences, tips, ideas, and concerns with diabetes experts and with one another.

The American Diabetes Association recognizes that North Oaks Diabetes Education meets the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.
