Halloween is just around the corner, one of our children’s favorite celebrations. And one of the most feared mothers and fathers because of the high sugar content they eat that day. Our children are expected consume 1000% more than the maximum amount of sugar recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) on October 31st. Or how about 250 grams of sugar, like filling a glass with lump sugar. Solution? Give it a little imagination and go for it equally terrifying recipes, but healthy.

Healthy sweets for Halloween

On Halloween, they mostly consume sweet foods. And sweet is usually synonymous with sugar, but not always. Since we are most scared of our kids going overboard with sugar this Halloween, we will go for recipes that don’t use it.

Terrifying fruits

What’s healthier than fruit? It is a 100% natural product that only contains the sugar contained in the food. And remember, when the WHO talks about reducing or eliminating sugar intake, they are referring to free or added sugars, not the sugars found in foods. So … free option to consume fruit, which is also high in fiber and vitamins.
