Examine finds COVID-19 ‘will increase probability of diabetes’

JOHANNESBURG – If contagion with COVID-19 isn’t already a concern, it has now been determined that if you had the virus you are at a higher risk of suffering from heart problems or even developing diabetes.

That is the warning from the Discovery Health group.

New data on COVID-19 and the country’s vaccine rollout has been revealed.

The study found, among other things, that the Pfizer vaccine cut the risk of infection by almost half.

But that’s the good news.

The same study also unearthed some pretty frightening results.

It confirmed that COVID-19 is fatal not only to people with comorbid conditions like diabetes, but actually causes diabetes in up to 60 percent of those who recover from it.
