Residents and trade fair employees complete their training on 5,400 square meters

The Fitness Hub at Expo 2020 has become an ideal place for Expo 2020 staff and Dubai residents to finish their workouts.

The venue spans 5,400 square meters and offers a huge variety of sports, fitness and wellness activities to encourage physical activity as a way of life.

“A lot of people come here in the mornings and evenings to achieve their fitness goals,” says a trainer at the Fitness Hub.

It is located next to the Mobility Gate, the sports wonderland has a state-of-the-art fitness studio, five-a-side football pitch, and a multi-purpose court for basketball, netball, volleyball and tennis. It also has a global fitness stage with daily classes to keep your heart racing. Many yoga and fitness sessions take place here, in which experienced trainers keep an eye on the everyday fitness of the participants.

Expo 2020 employee Arif Khan said they have to report to their duty at 8 a.m. but arrive an hour early for training.

Mohammed Saif, a Jordanian national who works with Expo Tours, is very happy with the arrangements at the Fitness Hub Expo 2020.

“I’ve been playing soccer every day for almost six years. And surprisingly, I can continue with the sport at Expo 2020. “

“The soccer field is just amazing and my teammates are also very encouraging and can learn a lot from them,” Saif said.

Some employees also mentioned that they are used to coming to the Fitness Hub to exercise in their weeks off.

Ashish Dhar, an Indian expat who lives in the Dubai Investment Park, visited the Expo site in early October and turned out to be a regular visitor to the mega-event.

“I bought the Expo Pass to understand what the event was about, but when I saw the fitness center, I jog to the grounds every day to work out.”

“The activities there are great and I have learned a lot of new exercises that I will definitely benefit from in the future.”

Hajirah from the Expo pavilion and exhibition team trains in the evening. Together with her colleagues she is doing high interval intensity training.

“The fitness hub was a great place for a quick workout before or after our work hours to stay fit and hold the mega-event.”

Humaanh, who works on the sustainability pavilion, said the place is the best place for fitness and entertainment. She and her colleagues take part in government games and training takes place in the Expo 2020 Fitness Hub.

“The first time I came here with my family it turned out that I was a regular visitor … this place is used to train us for the government games and team building and various trainings.”
