March 4, 2021
March 4, 2021 March is National Food Month and the Guilford Parent Academy (GPA) celebrates with nutritious meals for frontline workers who serve and protect the community.
GPA invites community members to thank a Guilford County Schools (GCS) parent or guardian who works on the front lines. These individuals serve in healthcare or as first responders, teachers, public transport employees, post office workers, proofreaders, etc.
“Since last March, many parents have made tremendous sacrifices in fighting on the front lines against COVID-19 and protecting our community,” said Kimberly Funderburk, GPA director. “We are more grateful than ever for those who are ready to serve others. This is just one way to thank them for their hard work and dedication during a difficult year.”
Contributions must be for GCS parents or caregivers who work on the front lines in Guilford County. The deadline for entries is March 22nd. GPA will introduce all GCS parents and carers in the March newsletter. Five lucky recipients will be contacted to arrange for one of the gift cards to be picked up.
