JACKSONVILLE, NC – Participants can now register for the Hope For The Warriors Crystal Coast 30 × 30 Virtual Fitness Challenge.

From November 1st through November 30th, individuals can take part in the free virtual fitness challenge from the Crystal Coast and beyond. The Crystal Coast 30 × 30 Virtual Fitness Challenge is designed to get people moving by including any type of physical activity for at least 30 minutes for 30 days. Every activity counts – walking, running, hiking, swimming, lifting, etc.

The goal of this virtual challenge is to help individuals achieve their fitness goals as they celebrate the 15th anniversary of Hope For The Warriors.

Founded aboard Camp Lejeune, Hope For The Warriors is now a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to restoring feelings of self, family and hope to service members, their families and families of the fallen through a variety of support programs focused on clinical health and wellness as well as sports devotes and recreation and transition.

Participants are encouraged to register for the free 30-day fitness challenge before or by October 31, but can always register for the challenge at hopeforthewarriors.org. Participants can log their daily activities through the website for a cumulative total for the challenge.

Twice a week, participants will receive emails with ideas and places for families to use local bike paths, green lanes, running and hiking trails, and local restaurants with healthy eating options. A historical fact related to Hope For The Warriors’ 15 year history in the Crystal Coast communities is also included in the emails.

A 30 × 30 Challenge T-shirt is available for $ 30 upon registration. (T-shirt comes at the end of the challenge). There is also the option to sponsor a warrior for $ 30 so that a soldier or member of the military wearing a t-shirt can take part in the challenge.

“Hope For The Warriors was founded over 15 years ago as a grassroots organization along the Crystal Coast as military families who saw firsthand the impact of the war on their families and their communities,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president of the nonprofit Organization. “With support from East North Carolina, HOPE has grown into a national organization serving military families across the country. Our hearts will always feel at home here. “
