How do you hit a health objective? High Houston trainers have the following pointers.

2020 may have started with the best resolutions about resolutions, but if you’re like me you may have found that you missed your goals a little (a lot).

Starting an exercise routine is usually easier than actually maintaining it. Because most of us are preoccupied with work, family, and pandemic stress that has become all too routine, we often forget to take care of the vessels that allow us to move like the energizer bunny: our bodies.

Fortunately, Houston has some great fitness trainers who have the ability to motivate even the laziest of couch potatoes by promoting long-term, healthy habits. Joy Sewing of the Houston Chronicle just published her list of the top 33 Houston coaches for 2021and we spoke to three of them about how to stay on track.

“I can be super motivated; Get on my cardio, eat super well, then I’ll have a cheat meal on the weekend, ”said Jourdan Alvarez, an Illuminate Fitness trainer. “But in other weeks I want the Reese peanut butter cup. So I’m going to eat this and maybe three other peanut butter cups, but that’s perfectly normal and no time to stop. “

Ah, fitness professionals. You are just like us.
