I’ll be the first to admit, when I hear people rave about how exercising gives them incredible energy, I roll my eyes because it just wasn’t true to me. Usually, gyms intimidate me and do anything but energize me. So I tried a workout at a brand new gym in Five Points, Fell Fitness. Read on to see how it went.

Meet Scott, the man behind Fell Fitness💪

I’m by no means an early riser, but I dream of living a life where I wake up early and start my day with a workout and a nice cup of coffee – all before I go to work. Now that I’ve tried a Fell Fitness workout, believe me when I tell you you don’t need the coffee to wake up.

Scott has tons of energy to keep you motivated. One thing I liked is that even in a group, Scott gives individual attention to make sure everyone is getting the most out of their workout.

According to Scott, Fell Fitness is not a business but a family. That is clear when you spend time with him, whether you’re exercising or chatting after class. He stands for you no matter what your goals are. Besides, he won’t just be your trainer. It also becomes a friend that you look forward to every workout.

Let’s get to the 🔥 workout

Every workout at Fell Fitness is different and focuses on strengthening different parts of the body. My workout included a mix of band exercises, squats and lunges, and lots of movement.

I got a bit rusty during training, but the women’s class was motivating, not intimidating. In addition, training at Fell Fitness is not just training. It’s an opportunity to hang out with friends. When I came to a session on Friday morning, every single person who walked in greeted me with a smile and encouraged me … even as my lunges up the hill slowed the whole group.

PS: Don’t be surprised if you see heavy thugs (like the Mayor, for example) in Birmingham doing squats next to you.

“I can tell you what I have already created and what I still want to create. I don’t run a business. This is family to me. I want people who want to be here. I’m concerned with dull blades that come to Fell Fitness when they need to be sharpened. Iron sharpens iron. I want motivated people here, people with a smile on their face and people who are great at heart and want to do their best. “
