Responsibilities:
Employees in this class are responsible for reviewing cases in FNS, energy programs, and day care centers. Attention to detail is essential in this work. The employee works closely with EB employees to identify errors and make corrections. The ability to regularly express constructive criticism is a prerequisite. Employees in this class interpret state and federal guidelines and communicate changes and / or discuss gray areas with employees. The employee attends local hearings and assists employees in preparing hearing summaries. The employee should be able to collect data and develop training based on the needs identified in QA reviews. This position will interpret both state and federal policies, which change frequently, and ensure that they are applied appropriately to each situation in order to properly determine suitability for economic utilities and educate staff of changes. The work is monitored directly by the Economic Benefits Program Manager and indirectly by the IM Supervisor II.

Qualifications:
• Two years of experience as a clerk for income security; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
