Linda McCartney was the OG vegetarian and pioneer of the meat-free living in many ways before it went mainstream.

She shared her compassion for animals with her family and created homemade vegetarian dishes that everyone could enjoy.

Now, the McCartney family of Paul, Stella, and Mary have reinvented Linda’s classic recipes in a vegan cookbook filled with 100 simple recipes that complement the modern lifestyle.

The cookbook, titled “Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen,” not only contains recipes, but also intimate family photos and stories from three decades.

In addition to family favorites like American-style pancakes, chili non-carne, sausage rolls, and shepherd’s pie, Paul, Mary, and Stella share the dishes they cook most at home: Pad Thai, Pulled Jackfruit Burgers, Panzanella Salad, and Crunchy Pecan Cookies.

“Linda paved the way with vegetarianism”

Paul MacCartney explained about the cookbook:

“Years ago, before anyone woke up to the idea of environmental, health and animal welfare issues, Linda paved the way with vegetarianism, telling people about it and promoting it.

“At home she cooked for the family and these recipes have now been brought up to date for a modern audience. They are all herbal and fabulous now.

“There are family photos and stories from that time in the book and, of course, lots of great, great-tasting, healthy recipes.

“I hope this book stimulates conversations about sustainability and modern life among people, and also gives them some great recipes to eat. ”

Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen will be available in hardcover on June 21st for £ 25 on Amazon and Waterstones.
