CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) – The heat is spinning and the wheels are spinning at one of the valley’s newest gyms.

“Hotworx is a 24-hour infrared gym. That means we have saunas that you can work out in,” said Jill Schwantes, owner of Hotworx.

The store is in Nees and Willow. Every sauna is recommended to be heated to 125 degrees.

“You’re in the vicinity of the infrared, which is the whole point. It’s getting hot. You know we all live in the Central Valley and it’s hot, but because the sessions are so short. It’s going to be hot.” a countdown and you will know you can do this, “said Schwantes.

The workout is short because of the heat. There are 10 different routines to choose from, from cycling to yoga and more.

The sessions are taught virtually and run all day. Members register for a time slot via an app.

“Right now that we’re in the county for the level we’re at two people per sauna. So you can come in and exercise, if you have a friend or family member who is also a Hotworx member, you could exercise together “said Schwantes.

The owners tell us they have cleaning solutions on hand and keep their own logs.

The deal took a long time.

Schwantes saw the hot idea online and decided to bring it down to the valley.

“Our intention was to open our first location in March 2020. Of course that didn’t happen, so we were a little late,” said Schwantes.

She believes health is important, especially in these times. The cost to join is currently $ 59.99 per month plus fees.

After a year of waiting, the owners can’t wait to be open. Hotworx is expected to have its soft opening on Friday and Saturday.
