On the street to a greater management of the diabetes epidemic in Canada

On June 21, 2021, the Senate unanimously passed Bill C-237 for a National Framework for Diabetes. My knowledge of the diabetic foot in elderly care had motivated me to support the draft law of the liberal MP Sonia Sidhu. Furthermore, as Diabetes Canada pointed out in The Hill Times last May, Diabetes prevalence in Canada is increasing. Prior to being infected with the coronavirus, it was estimated that 50 percent of young adults in this country would develop type 2 diabetes in their remainder of their lives.
