The Cason Development Group is redeveloping a 3,000 m² building. Building at 4326 Wildcat Road, Columbia, which will be the home of Results Fitness. The studio is owned by local fitness trainer Robert Simmons.
The adaptive reuse project will redesign the building that has been vacant for more than a decade. Boyer Construction is the general contractor and SEED Architecture is the architect for the project. The building next to the McDonalds on Garners Ferry Road is expected to be completed in time for the summer opening.
“We’ve been working with Robert for almost a year to find the perfect room. Our partnerships with Boyer and SEED have allowed us to find the perfect building that fits Robert’s long-term goals, ”said Taylor Wolfe of Cason Development Group.
Simmons began his career in 2013 at Jamie Scott Fitness, where he taught exercise classes and personally trained selected clients. In May 2020, Simmons decided to pursue his own business as a personal trainer through a partnership with Stronghold Gym. He continued to build his customer base and developed a plan to open Results Fitness.
Results Fitness offers personal training and group courses on a treadmill basis for ages 18 to 24. Dumbbells and various fitness equipment are used for the personal training units.
“My goal is to bridge the gap between personal training and class, and to get to know the people in class because I believe this is the best way for me to build relationships and see results,” said Simmons. “On a personal level, I want to get my training back to normal. People think they can use social media and find out about fitness and there is a lot of false information out there. “
