Plátano de Canarias is the primary fruit in Spain to supply dietary labeling for bulk gross sales

Plátano de Canarias has just launched a new nutrition label. On the inside of the popular label with the Plátano de Canarias logo you will now find detailed information on the most important nutritional properties of the fruit (per 100 grams).

With this initiative, Plátano de Canarias is the first fruit to have a nutrition label in a 100% compostable and biodegradable format.

Health has become a very important factor for consumers when buying food, so Plátano de Canarias wanted to facilitate the assessment. The label provides information on both the nutrient content per 100 grams and the percentage of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for each component. Plátano de Canarias is characterized by a high vitamin B6 content as well as a source of potassium, vitamin C and fiber.

This information is presented on a label in line with the brand’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, as it is made from wood pulp from controlled plantations and is 100% compostable and biodegradable.
