Police asking for public’s assist in discovering lacking aged man from Longs who has dementia and diabetes

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Horry County Police Department is requiring public help to track down a missing elderly man.

Lawrence Utter, 81, was last seen driving his 2019 white Ford Ranger on the SC tag KZW180 near Myrtle Beach State Park at around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. He was last seen wearing a red plaid, flannel shirt, and blue jeans.

Police say he drove away from his home in the Longs area.

According to the police, Utter is at risk because he suffers from dementia and diabetes, among other things. He needs regular medication.
