CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront is offering wellness activities this Saturday, October 16, by: a for free “A ”5K / 10K hosted by State Representative Todd Hunter. Registration for the UN theme 5K / 10K begins at 7:30 a.m. at The Water’s Edge and is limited to 200 participants. Best Uno Costume Awards, 5 Year Age Group Awards for 5K, and Free Chip Timing! For every fitness course they attend, participants receive a card punch.
The fitness route The route begins along the seawall at The Water’s Edge heading north towards the American Bank Center with the turn just before the entrance to the Barge Dock. Walk, jog, run or ride a bike along the event’s designated 1.5 mile fitness trail (one way). Our community partner HEB provides all participants with fruit and water.
In coordination with Victor Betancourt from VFit Productions and the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, the city is offering “Safe Fun-Fit on the Bayfront” exercise and wellness events for all ages from eight years and all ability levels on Saturdays from 7 am: 30 – 11:00 a.m. at The Water’s Edge, 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard. HIGH Fitness, Zumba and Yoga take place in the Islanders Pavilion next to the playground. The timetable is available online.
Register online for fitness courses and 5K at www.cctexas.com/safefunfit. Class sessions are limited to 30 participants per class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water for training.
The public is invited to provide feedback and suggestions on “Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront” by participating in the short online survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5NWBLF2, which will run until October 31, 2021 is open.
