RESTON, VA – New Trail Cycling & Strength Studio is planning to officially reopen its indoor studio one year after closing due to COVID-19.

Beginning March 14, attendees will be able to teach virtually, outdoors, or indoors at the Reston Studio on Lake Anne Plaza.

The New Trail Cycling & Strength Studio closed the interior of the studio since last March. During this time, the owner Liz Kamp switched to virtual and outdoor courses.

As more information about virus transmission and local COVID-19 cases declined, the studio decided it could safely return to offering indoor classes. The indoor courses are limited to six participants.

“It was an incredibly difficult year bringing my growing business to a standstill,” Kamp said in a statement. “We’re always innovating and trying to meet the needs of our great community while we stay afloat.”

Kamp, who opened New Trail in 2018, said she appreciated the members of the studio who kept their membership up while they couldn’t exercise and the neighbors who continued to buy clothes from the studio’s store.

“I’m proud of where we are and excited to see where the future leads us,” she said.

All classes are still available virtually via Zoom. The classes range from indoor cycling and strength to yoga and courses for people aged 55 and over.

Safety measures for the indoor classes include temperature checks upon arrival, 10 feet of space between participants, and the wearing of masks. The doors stay open and the fresh air HVAC system is on at all times.

According to New Trail, the HVAC system pumps in fresh air and meets many of the federal government’s recommendations to reduce exposure to infectious aerosol in the air.

The reopening of the sale will be possible until March 31st. New customers can get three classes for $ 45. Each new or updated membership receives six months of free video-on-demand access.
