CHICAGO (WLS) – Charges pending against a burglar accused of stabbing a man who worked out at the gym of his River North condominium building are pending.

The attack occurred on a high-rise near Wabash and Hubbard on Thursday morning.

A local resident said after the burglar entered the building, he went to the post office and damaged packages. Then he somehow got into the gym and stabbed a resident who was exercising there.

The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Chicago police have arrested his suspected attacker.

In a letter to residents, the building’s caretaker said they were “reviewing all of the building’s security conditions”.

Some local residents said they were very unsure of how the alleged attacker got into the building and gym. The police have not identified or charged the attacker.
