“Mother of God” Amy Carlson before her death

New graphic details have surfaced such as Love has Won worshiped the mummified corpse of cult leader Amy Carlson, known to followers as “Mother of God”.
In an exclusive interview with NBC’s Dateline, the sheriff who discovered the body said it was after prosecutors dropped charges of the morbid ritual.
Saguache County Sheriff Dan Warwick tells Keith Morrison of Dateline that the group burned sage in the room and covered Ms. Carlson with essential oils to “suppress the odor” when he found them.
In a preview of the two-hour special on Friday night, Mr Warwick said the group was effectively worshiping the mummified corpse.
“Wow, I mean it’s just [you] shake and go wow. I can not say more about that. I’ve been doing this for 26 years. I’ve always said I’ve seen it all. I don’t say that anymore, “he said.
Seven members of the spiritual cult were taken into custody after the decaying body of Ms. Carlson, 45, was discovered at the group’s headquarters in Colorado in April.
They were charged with child molestation with two minors in the house, but the Saguache County District Attorney later dropped all charges.

Investigators believed Ms. Carlson died elsewhere and may have been transported to Colorado from California.
MPs arrested “Father God” Juan Castillo, along with members Ryan Kramer, John Robertson, Karin Raymond, Christopher Royer, Sara Rudolph and Ma obdulia Franco Gonzalez.
The Saguache County Sheriffs Office’s “Statement of Probable Cause of Arrest without Warrant” received from The Independent states that police were alerted to the death of Ms. Carlson by group member Miguel Lamboy, also known as “Archangel Michael Silver” .

“Mr. Lamboy stated that Ms. Carlson’s skin appeared gray and her eyes were glazed or missing. Mr. Lamboy said it was obvious that Ms. Carlson was dead because her eyes were missing,” the statement said .
“Mr. Lamboy stated that the body appeared to be mummified, with Mrs. Carlson’s teeth exposed through the lips. Mr. Lamboy said that Mrs. Carlson was wrapped in a cloth.”
