Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chosen his side Manchester United to face Liverpool.
Anthony Martial was again completely removed from the squad. He has not played since the international break.
His compatriot Raphael Varane also came back injured from the Nations League.
In a conversation with MUTV before the game, Solskjaer gave a brief update on the fitness of both men.

“Anthony and Raphael are the two who didn’t make it. we are missing today. Hopefully they have [Varane & Martial] may come back next weekend.
“You have to start at the beginning, be dominant and show your quality and way of thinking.
“Then you get another ten percent of the crowd and stamp or authority for the game. There are many keys. “
In truth, Martial would probably have had to settle for a seat on the bench anyway.

Varane would have been a likely starter but he will have to wait for his first encounter with Liverpool as a United player.
The team that Solskjaer picked is strong, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani on the bench to change things up if necessary.
United’s next game is next Saturday against Tottenham and maybe Varane and Martial will be in the squad there.
