We don’t know if it’s the romantic cozy weather outside or just another excuse to indulge in the drink, but tea is for the body what music is for the soul and since we are always easily distracted with creative tea recipes, we have decided to whip up some tonight.

Call us Chaivinists, but we firmly believe that where there is tea, there is hope! So celebrate International Tea Day 2021 with these super delicious recipes for tulsi tea, jaggery tea or detox tea, which can also be used as home remedies for various diseases in this cold winter season.

1. Tulsi tea

Ingredients:

Tulsi: 8-9 leaves

Ginger: 2 slices

Milk: 1 glass

Method:

Take some water in a saucepan and add 9-10 shredded tulsi leaves along with a ginger root. Let the water boil and reduce it to 1/4 the amount.

Add a glass of milk (1 glass / person) and let it boil for 5 minutes. Strain the milk and serve hot.

2. Jaggery tea

Ingredients:

Cumin seeds: 1/2 tbsp

Black pepper: 5-6 pieces

Jaggery: 15-20 grams

Water: 2-3 cups

Method:

Boil 2-3 cups of water with a little cumin and black peppercorns in a saucepan. Once the mixture is ready, put it down and add some jaggery (gud) to it. Let it steep for a while and then drink it until it is lukewarm.

3. Detox tea

Ingredients:

Tulsi: 3-4 leaves

Clove: 4-5 pieces

Black pepper: 4-5 pieces

Black tea: 1/2 tbsp

Rock salt: a pinch

Asafoetida: A pinch

Water: 1 cup

Method:

Boil a cup of water in a pan. Add some tea leaves, 3-4 tulsi leaves, crushed cloves, and black peppercorns.

Let the mixture steep in a closed container for 5 minutes. Pour the tea into a cup and add a pinch of rock salt and asafoetida. Serve while it’s hot.
