Teva, Others Win Dismissal of Diabetes Drug Carcinogen Swimsuit

Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., Walgreens, and others have won the dismissal of a proposed class suit by a New Jersey federal court for the time being for manufacturing and selling contaminated generic diabetes drugs.

Seven named individuals and one company sued 16 manufacturers and four pharmacy chains for manufacturing and marketing metformin drugs that had become worthless due to contamination with N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), a likely human carcinogen.
