Made with one of the most nutritious fruits, the apple, this dessert is a must have for anyone who wants to enjoy desserts without the guilty feelings. With minimal ingredients – tart-sweet apples, butter, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and granulated sugar – you can create a sweet dish that everyone would love!
Cut three apples (peeled or unpeeled; depending on preference) into 1/4-inch slices. Transfer them to a bowl. Add ½ teaspoon ginger, 1½ teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ nutmeg, 1½ tablespoon brown sugar and ½ tablespoon granulated sugar. Mix all ingredients well. Take a pan and heat 3 tablespoons of butter in it.
When the butter starts to brown, add the apple mixture. Fry the apples for 5 minutes to make them crispy. You can serve with toppings of your choice. Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and toasted almonds are some options for toppings.
