In addition to developing healthy habits, many people include essential oils in their regular mood management routines.

MILTON KEYNES, United Kingdom, February 2, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – According to a recent doTERRA survey of 2,000 Britons, people are thinking more than ever about their emotional wellbeing. The survey found that people in the UK have been feeling more stressed (39%) and having more negative emotions since the pandemic started. In addition, 43% of respondents said that the mood in their households has worsened.

In addition to our own emotional health, mood also affects the people around us. According to the survey, 62% said their mood affects other family members and 37% said their mood affects their workplace.

“In unprecedented times like these, people need to find ways to improve their mood,” said Kirk Jowers, doTERRA executive vice president for Europe and Corporate Relations. “The use of essential oils as part of your daily routine, massage, yoga, and other everyday activities is something the whole family can do to improve their mood and find balance.”

The study found that the five most common moods throughout the day were stressed, anxious, happy, relaxed, and calm. While emotions are an inescapable part of being human, that doesn’t mean we are unable to influence them. Almost six in ten respondents do things to improve or improve their mood, from taking a walk to listening to music to taking a break for tea or coffee. Others like to take a bath (31%) or visit nature (37%). In addition to developing healthy habits, many people include essential oils (10%) in their regular mood management routines.

Here are some popular doTERRA essential oils that can help nurture positive emotions at home, at work, and in other areas and activities of our lives:

doTERRA Adaptive

doTERRA Adaptive is a proprietary blend that combines essential oils such as wild orange, lavender, copaiba, spearmint, magnolia, rosemary, neroli, and sweetgum. Lavender has a calming effect, while Wild Orange rises. Adaptive has a calming and relaxing aroma, and when applied topically, it can improve mood. Have Adaptive ready to promote well-being in new environments or situations.

lavender

Lavender has become one of the most popular essential oils with its distinctive aroma and countless uses. In the past, the Romans and Egyptians used lavender for bathing. Since that time, many have discovered the myriad other benefits it offers. Lavender’s calming properties are often used to relax the body and improve mood. Add a few drops of lavender to pillows or bedding to encourage relaxation before bed.

doTERRA balance

The fresh and woody aroma of Balance is a perfect oil to promote the feeling of harmony. Spruce, Ho Wood, Frankincense, Blue Tansy and Blue Chamomile mix perfectly with fractionated coconut oil and offer an enticing scent that promotes calm, relaxation and wellbeing when applied topically. Use this option to create a calm environment while meditating or practicing yoga, or apply it to the bottom of your feet to help promote balance throughout the day.

Bergamot

Bergamot is the most sensitive citrus plant and needs a special climate and soil in order to thrive. In Greece, the unripe fruits are eaten from the spoon as a dessert or with coffee. Bergamot is also unique among citrus oils as it can be both uplifting and calming. Bergamot has been used for hundreds of years to promote calmness and rejuvenate the complexion. Mix it with fractionated coconut oil for a soothing massage oil!

doTERRA Cheer

Like a ray of sunshine, the Cheer Uplifting Blend can provide a positive boost. When happiness and optimism are in short supply, Cheer is waiting to lighten and liven up your mood. The sun-shining, fresh aroma of citrus and spice essential oils will brighten any moment of your day. Use topically in the morning to encourage optimism and happiness.
