Spring is all about making things new again – that is, it’s also a perfect time for us to see how we can make our bodies feel like new again.
One area that so many of us struggle with is nutrition.

“I really just want to start out about the importance of looking for trustworthy information when it comes to dieting because when you search online there is a lot of information and it is not always best for your body.” McLaren Northern Michigan said Dr. Jay Anderson. “Generally, when looking for nutritional advice, look for advice from a reputable health care system and make sure you get advice from a doctor or licensed nutritionist.”

Dr. Anderson’s tips include:

  • Look at your caloric intake and work with your doctor to make sure you are getting just enough
  • Increase fruits and vegetables – nobody gets enough of them!
  • Increase fiber, especially at breakfast
  • Make sure you are getting enough protein
  • Overall – you want to make sure your body is getting enough nutrients it needs.
