ingredients

  • Broken wheat – 2 cup
  • Jaggery – 400 grams
  • Ghee – 3 tbsp
  • Cardamom – 3
  • Cumin powder – a pinch
  • Coconut milk – made from a whole coconut
  • Raisins and cashews

preparation

Soak the cleaned wheat curd in water for 2 hours. After 2 hours, cook the broken wheat with water in a pan or pressure cooker over a medium flame for 10-15 minutes. Now melt the jaggery in half a glass of water. Filter it after it cools. Now mix the cooled jaggery and the broken wheat together. Boil it for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk.

Now add cardamom and cumin powder. Cook for 2 minutes. Fry some cashew nuts and raisins in ghee and decorate the payasam after the flame has been extinguished. Serve hot.
