World Coronary heart Day 2021: Superfood recipes for a more healthy coronary heart

As the pandemic reboots, Indian families finally have a chance to make the most of the holiday season. When you consider that festivals are incomplete without delicious food, people are often left with a feeling of guilt after the celebrations. However, unlike before the pandemic, this year we were forced to rethink our health holistically to boost immunity. One of the ways we can take care of our health this Christmas season is to watch our diet and try to incorporate more superfoods like broccoli, coconut, blueberries, spinach, and dark chocolate into our meals.

Health conditions caused by modern lifestyles, among others, are at greater risk for cardiac patients and it is more important than ever to take preventive measures for cardiovascular health during the celebrations. On this World Heart Day (September 29th) we present you smacking superfood recipes that can help our hearts to become healthier. As well as being delicious, these recipes are trendy and can be prepared in just 30 minutes! In compliance with all safety protocols and health norms, let’s bring joy into our lives by cooking some healthy recipes and making warm memories with our loved ones in the comfort of their homes.

Recipe 1: broccoli crust pizza for the millennial diners:

Duration: 30 minutes

For: 2-3 people

Ingredients:

• 1 head of broccoli

• 2 eggs

• 1 g of salt

• 1/2 g pepper

• 50 g pizza sauce

• 60 g grated mozzarella

• 30 g grated parmesan cheese

• 130 g cheese

Steps:

1) The Voltas Beko microwave oven at 180o C. preheat

2) Chop broccoli in the food processor.

3) Put the broccoli in a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute until steamed

4) Let cool and pour broccoli onto a clean cloth and squeeze the liquid out of the broccoli until you have a dry broccoli ball left

5) In a large bowl, mix the broccoli, eggs, cheese, and spices with a spoon until completely mixed

6) Pour the mixture onto the pre-lined baking sheet and shape it like a pizza crust 1/2 inch thick

7) Bake for 10-12 minutes

8) Add the pizza sauce and cheese

9) Bake for another 10-12 minutes

10) Let cool for 5 minutes before cutting

Recipe 2: Lemon Coconut Cookies for our GenZs

Duration: 30 minutes

For: 4-6 people

Ingredients:

• 200 g rice flour

• 5 g baking powder

• 5 g vanilla powder

• 130 g of honey

• 55g coconut oil

• Salt

• 20 ml lemon juice

• Dark chocolate

• 30 g desiccated coconut

Steps:

1) Preheat the microwave oven to 80 ° C

2) Mix all ingredients

3) Shape the biscuits as you like

4) Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden

5) Drizzle the biscuits with melted chocolate

Recipe 3: coconut-banana-cocoa milkshake for the little ones in the house

Duration: 10 minutes

Served: per person

Ingredients:

• 1 large banana

• 1 spoon of pure cocoa

• 1 spoon of maple syrup

• 150 ml coconut milk

Steps:

1) Put all ingredients in a blender

2) Mix until the liquid is even

3) Vary the thickness by adding more or less coconut milk
