Start your baby’s day off right by making Japanese rice balls the first thing in the morning. According to mummy Sheila Sim, all you need is Japanese rice, pedal fin, broccoli, carrot, nori, Ikan bilis powder and black sesame seeds.

Another simple meal of healthy baby food recipes to make for your 1 year old is Gerber’s Millet and Quinoa Granola mixed with breast milk. For a little twist, Sim tops it off with flaxseed and chia seeds. To complete her daughter’s breakfast, she adds half a banana to the meal.

Sim’s Instagram followers seemed particularly keen on the frittata fingers she made for her daughter Layla. So the celebrity mom shared a more detailed recipe, adding that she made it with chopped spinach, grated zucchini, mashed salmon, mascarpone cheese, and eggs.

Here’s how she did it (according to her Instagram story):

  • Then add the sautéed zucchini and spinach in unsalted organic butter to the salmon puree

  • Add 1 egg and beat them all up

  • Add 1.5 tablespoons of mascarpone

  • Fry the pan with butter like an omelette

  • Cut in two fingers

  • Paella
