Islamabad: With the aim of serving a greater number of diabetes patients by providing them with access to world-class diagnosis, treatment, education and rehabilitation facilities related to diabetes and its complications; The Diabetes Center (TDC) has inaugurated its clinic in Crescent Arcade G-8 Markaz in Islamabad, according to a press release.
Mayor of Islamabad Pir Syed Adil Gillani was the main guest at the inauguration ceremony. Other notable figures were Islamabad Deputy Mayor Muhammad Azam Khan; Chairman of Pakland Builders Maqsood Ur Rehman; Deputy Director General for Health and Project, Tobacco Free Capital, Dr. Minhaj-us-Siraj; and Chief / General Director Health Dr. Hasan Orooj.
Government officials, medical specialists, representatives of health organizations, social workers, representatives of the corporate sector and people from various walks of life were also present on the occasion.
Tahir M. Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer of TDC, said during his inaugural address: “Given the high prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan, our goal is to create a truly integrated system that provides access to high quality, economical and affordable care for diabetes and all of these present related problems. “
While addressing the audience, lead guest Pir Syed Adil Gillani praised TDC management for their remarkable efforts to effectively help people with diabetes and its complications.
