Trinity Health is accepting registrations for Weigh 2 Change, a CDC-approved diabetes prevention program that allows people with prediabetes to take control of their health through diet, exercise, and support.
Interested parties are invited to attend one of two information events taking place on May 18th and 25th from 4pm to 5pm in the Trinity Health Community conference room in the Town & Country Center. Weighing in 2 alternating classes start on June 8th.
Feedback is required due to COVID-19 by calling the Center for Diabetes Awareness at 857-5268. Participants are asked to wear face covering. People who cannot or do not want to attend an information session can call the center to make an appointment.
To qualify for Weigh 2 Change, individuals must meet the following criteria: be 18 years of age or older, at risk of prediabetes, or have prediabetes and be overweight. Disqualifying factors include pregnancy and a diagnosis of diabetes.
Individuals who have chosen the program and are not covered by Medicare will be charged a fee of US $ 220 that covers training sessions and materials for the entire year. For more information, contact the Trinity Health Center for Diabetes Awareness at 857-5268.
