ASHTABULA – Courtney and Matthew Anderson joined shoppers, friends and business executives to celebrate the opening of their healthcare company Middle Road on Saturday.

The store is the first addition to the Castle Block property.

Functioning Excessive Depth Interval Coaching (FHIIT) was the focus of the exercise as the Better Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce hacked the tape to welcome them to their new building at Fortress Block Properties west of Park Avenue on Middle Road.

The property is intended as a commercial and residential property.

“We focus on building muscle to burn calories,” she said.

Courtney Anderson said the company is focused on high-intensity strength training.

Anderson said the workouts generally last 45 minutes and burn 300 to 400 calories. She said the workouts are tailored to the individual.

“I’ve been in fitness for a long time,” said Anderson. She said she started her classes in the back yard of her home, working in a building near the intersection of Route 20 and State Road in Ashtabula Township, before moving to the new facility with high ceilings and blue lighting for the training experience to highlight.

Greg Church, Executive Director of the Greater Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce, congratulated the couple on the design and implementation of the facility. “I think they outdid themselves,” he said. Anderson urged her clients to join the picture.

“We wouldn’t be here without you,” she said.
