First Lady Jill Biden dismissed concerns about President Biden’s mental acuity as “ridiculous” during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.

Regarding the president’s falling polls, CBS correspondent Rita Braver told the first lady: “Quite a few Americans have some questions about the president’s current mental fitness.”

“I think that’s ridiculous,” replied Jill Biden.

A recent poll found that 46% of American voters agree that “Joe Biden is mentally fit,” while 48% disagreed.

The first lady said she saw her husband’s falling polls “a little differently” than others.

“During the campaign, Joe made certain promises, things he would do,” she said. “And we went through a pandemic that no one could have expected. So he came in and saved America with the American Rescue Plan. And millions of families got money because they were desperate.”
