Bryan has now seen 20 COVID-19 patients die in the past two weeks. More than half of these patients were from other counties, although Lancaster Counties accounted for more than two-thirds of the most recent COVID-19 hospital admissions in Bryan.

Bryan again reported COVID-19 patient numbers to the public and media on July 15 when it had 20 patients. That number hit 66 on Thursday before dropping to 51 today.
As of Friday, Lancaster County had recorded 11 COVID-19 deaths that month, more than May, June and July combined. That number seems likely to rise when the district health department reports COVID-19 statistics on Monday afternoon.
The Nebraska Department of Health reported 17 deaths nationwide in the past seven days in its weekly COVID-19 update released Wednesday.
