Morning care routine

Devon Levesque

Self care and care are non-negotiable in my life. It’s something I do every day regardless of what I plan to do. In terms of products, I don’t like trying new things because I have really sensitive skin. If the ingredients are super natural and odorless, I’ll give it a try. I usually get a rash when I use fragrant products on my skin. I learned a lot about which products work for my skin because I have four sisters. That’s why they definitely taught me how to take care of my skin.

If you can take care of yourself all the time, you will feel refreshed all the time. I see it just like training. It’s the same concept: take care of your body. It’s all part of being well.

Soap: Beekmans COPA salt soap from the Dead Sea

Beekmans COPA Dead Sea Salt Soap

I just love this body soap. It’s from a small boutique brand. I usually get it at a farmers market and you can have it cut to any size you want. I usually buy 50 bars at a time because it’s just my point of contact.

Bath salts: Dr. Teals Pure Epsom bath salts

I try to take a bath every morning. It’s an opportunity to collect my thoughts, make good music, and prepare for the day. I will apply cold water for 30 seconds at the end of my morning shower to wake up my nervous system. I also try to sit in the sauna most mornings.

If I’m ever super stressed and unable to sleep, I take a warm Epsom salt bath at night. I find it only helps calm your nerves, even if you only soak for 10 minutes. It definitely helps me recover.

Shampoo: Living Proof Perfect Hair Day ™ Shampoo

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day ™ Shampoo

I’ve been using this shampoo for over two years. I always dry my hair immediately with the Dyson hairdryer. It doesn’t fry your hair like other blow dryers.

Lotion: Theraplex HydroLotion

Theraplex HydroLotion

Another product that I have been using for years. I have sensitive skin so I try to avoid all products with odors. This lotion is super light with no odor.

Deodorant: Salt & Stone Natural Deodorant Eucalyptus & Cedarwood

Salt & Stone Natural Deodorant Eucalyptus and Cedarwood

This brand sent me this natural deodorant to try and it is really amazing. The scent is very natural: eucalyptus and cedar. It smells amazing. Most of the natural deodorants I’ve used in the past don’t work, but this stuff definitely works.

Fragrance: Le Labo Rose 31

The rose laboratory 31

That doesn’t smell too floral and isn’t too overwhelming. It’s not your 1980s Italian Cologne that stinks a room. I feel very subtle and refreshing.

Shaving: Andis 17150 Pro Foil Lithium Titanium Foil Razor

Andis 17150 Pro Foil Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver

With my super sensitive skin, I can’t shave myself manually because my skin becomes too irritated. That’s why I shave with an electric head razor every morning. It’s not too hard on my skin. I keep my beard trimmed so it’s easy to maintain.

Evening care routine

Moisturizer: Aesop B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel

Aesop B Triple C facial balancing gel

This moisturizing gel really balances my skin and is great after a workout.

Mask: Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial

Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial

I love Drunk Elephant products. I try to use a face mask at least once a week and this one really works, but it stings a bit.

Mask: Aesop chamomile concentrate anti-blemish mask

Aesop chamomile concentrate anti-blemish mask

This mask has a clay-like consistency. I will throw this on any blemishes or acne breakouts at night.
