Planet Fitness is increasing its presence in Worcester.
One of the largest gyms in the world announced Wednesday the opening of a second location in Worcester, located at 535 Lincoln St.
The club plans to open its doors in January.
When it opens, the new Lincoln Plaza Club will be open 24 hours a day, Monday midnight through Friday 9:00 p.m. The club is also open on weekends from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The new 21,000 square meter fitness center will include 120 cardio machines and 73 weight and free weight machines. The cardio machines will have televisions in the console.

One training area includes the PF 30-Minute Express Circuit, the PF SYNRGY 360 Functional Training System with TRX machines, kettlebells and more.
Private changing rooms will feature architectural tiles and granite countertops, private changing areas, day lockers and modern individual showers.
The new fitness center will also have two salon-quality solariums, two red light therapy cabins, two HydroMassage loungers, two HydroMassage beds and two massage chairs.
The facility will provide guests with free WiFi.
Although the gym won’t open until 2022, individuals can still take advantage of Planet Fitness vacation offerings for the Lincoln Street location. New members can join for $ 1 a month and $ 10 a month, with the option to cancel at any time.
New members can register online or on site at the advance booking office of the new club. The office is located in the car park of the new facility and is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Planet Fitness first opened in Worcester in 2012. The Lincoln Plaza Club is the 54th location of the franchisee group.
“While we are the largest franchisee in the area, we are also very focused on each and every community that we have a club in,” said Brian Kablik, Planet Fitness franchisee, in a statement. “Our goal is always to create a training environment where everyone in our brand new, state-of-the-art fitness centers feels accepted and respected.”
