Ribbon severing at the new Orange Theory Fitness in New Hyde Park
On Friday, July 23rd, the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for a new member of the business community.
Baldur and Marian Dujmovits celebrated the grand opening for their third Orange Theory Fitness Center. The first is on Carle Place, the second is in King Kullen Mall in Garden City Park, and this brand new one is on 1706 Lakeville Road in New Hyde Park.
Orange Theory is different from other places you can train in as everything is done in classes and on reservation. Participants proceed according to their age and fitness level, but all do similar exercises at different levels of intensity to increase your monitored heart rate and increase the activity of your metabolism.
They have dedicated staff who monitor each participant during the training.
In addition to the owners Marian and Baldur and their employees, the following were among the participants:
Cheryl Fajardo, President of the Chamber; Saveeta Barnes, Chamber 2nd VP; Former Presidents Mark Laytin and Ralph Ventura; and Ed Stone, board member.
Politicians present were: Ellen Birnbaum, Nassau Cty. Legislator; Wayne Wink, North Hempstead Town Clerk; and from the New York State Assembly: Ed Ra and Gina Sillitti.
