ORLANDO, FL / ACCESSWIRE / July 28, 2021 / Spot Fitness, maker of the Spot social fitness app, was officially launched in Orlando, Florida. Based on the principle that social support is the most important aspect of staying active, Spot makes it easy for anyone to find ways to get active in their area, or as described on its website: find places, activities and people meet.
The location-based app, due to hit the market in early 2022, makes it easy to discover the best “spots” to get active, find events and activities to participate in, and engage with a fun and engaging community connect to.
“Connecting people with places to move and with others who have similar interests and fitness levels is a great way to break down some of the barriers that may be holding them back,” noted Dr. Sharon Gam, Wellness Coordinator for Seminole County. “I think the Spot app can help people exercise and improve their wellbeing, and it can even help make our entire community healthier!”
The founders of Spot Fitness had personally experienced how difficult it can be to maintain a fitness routine on your own. “When we looked at the data, we noticed how many people were in the same boat. We then realized that there was a huge niche in the market and a real need for a solution that could help people find social support to be active. Simply put, a social fitness lifestyle is more fun and leads to lasting success, “said Adam Ben-Evi, Vice President of Business Development.
With their existing prototype, the Spot team carried out focus groups at several locations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and follow-up surveys showed that over 95% of people would use the app. The excitement over the Spot app release, slated for early next year, has clearly built up among those who saw the prototype.
“I got excited about the Spot app,” said COTA / L, CPT and former WWE wrestler “Vic Adams,” Jay Nobles II. “I’ve seen firsthand the desperate need for this app, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone wants to get out and about again, and the Spot app makes everything a lot easier to find a place to do just that. “
The story goes on
The Spot team has capitalized on this enthusiasm to build a growing fan base, and many have signed up as early adopters in anticipation of the app’s official launch. From now on you can still register here, although space in the program is limited.
