• “When I started training at home during Covid, I got this training station [Hotwon Power Tower] that is made of thin metal. It is very light weight so you can easily carry it and it will fall apart to fit in the closet. I can actually do dips and pull-ups with it. I also use four free weights, perfect pushups [handles] and a medicine ball. That’s all I really need I don’t need all these different machines. ”•“ If you want to start an exercise routine but are too insecure to go to the gym, you have nothing to stop you exercising at home. By doing research online, you can find out which exercises are best for you and how to safely do them. ”•“ Don’t expect immediate results or you will get discouraged. I was like that with my stomach. Exercising the abs is not easy. The best motivation is when you start to see results, but it takes discipline and repetition. You have to stick to it, but you will find how good it feels when you have this sense of achievement. ”•“ Running outside is such a great exercise. When my father had open heart surgery, his surgeon told him that every adult must walk for at least 30 minutes a day to get their heart rate up and work up a sweat. “
• “I was lucky enough to buy a peloton over a year ago and fell in love with cycling. I’d done a handful of spinning classes before, so if the gyms were closed during the pandemic, I could still spin at home. Using the peloton was fun and motivating and I definitely recommend getting one. ”•“ I firmly believe that training has contributed to my emotional health. It took me a long time to realize the impact exercise can have on your mental health. Now that I’m older and have found that I have anxiety and depression, it helps move my body and release endorphins to help steer my mood into a more positive space. ”•“ As much as I love my peloton, it helps to go outside and move around briskly by walking, cycling or hiking and clearing your mind and seeing a different perspective. “

“I try to maximize my impact from start to finish in my training. In yoga I build the strengthening, strengthening and stretching of certain muscle groups, deeper stretching and at the same time serenity and balance in the body. I also practice interval training, which includes high-performance exercises and rest periods with lower intensity, but still keeps the heart rate high. The balance between high and low intensity ensures that the workout becomes faster and more varied as you use both your body’s oxygen and your stored energy. This allows you to burn more calories, build endurance and recover faster. ”•“ I’m a research freak. I read reviews and follow websites that offer good information about the best training shoes and equipment. When you do the work of ensuring that the best options are available to you, you will increase your chances of sticking to an exercise routine. When you feel prepared and in the best position to achieve something, you usually do it. “
“I bought a Bowflex VeloCore bike that moves from side to side like you’re going around bends and turns. It’s in my bedroom, staring into my face, so I find it unforgivable not to use it. ”•“ Workout music is very important to me. My choice: very intense film music like from The Dark Knight or a Hans Zimmer playlist or hip-hop music to get me into the zone. It really gets neurological activity going, so I’m ready to take on the challenge of my training. ”•“ I love going to the gym because I feel like there are fewer distractions than being at home. You pay for it, so there is a purpose. I spend less time at home because I’m not as focused as at the gym, where I have a certain amount of time to turn everything off. I just feel more responsible in the gym. I always wear a baseball cap because it works up a sweat and I don’t have to worry about my hair. Believe it or not, this little detail helps me stay focused. “
