An hour of climbing stairs is a high-intensity form of exercise that offers immense aerobic benefits in addition to improving heart health and weight loss. It builds endurance, improves mental health, and increases muscle strength. Climbing stairs burns more calories per minute than slower jogging, can lower the risk of stroke, increase healthy longevity, prevent cardiovascular disease, and combat a sedentary lifestyle that is contributing to the global obesity epidemic.
