Gulfport Planet Fitness is celebrating club updates with a member welcome event.
Gulfport Planet Fitness opened its doors to a reopening after upgrading the facility and adding new cardio machines, weight machines, and more to the club.
The Gulfport upgrade marks the third upgrade in the region, following the upgrades of Planet Health Clubs in Biloxi and Ocean Springs last month.
Upgrades to the Gulfport site give members access to the latest cardio and weight equipment, including three new Matrix rowers. The member appreciation event included training on how to use the new equipment, raffles including a chance to win a Planet Fitness branded corn-hole game and igloo cooler, and a one-year black card membership. Senior Club Member Danny Buford said, “We like to look brand new. We like to look like we just opened yesterday, that’s our big thing. We like that wow factor when someone who has never been to a Planet Fitness before comes in and looks around and goes, oh wow, this is the cleanest and best gym I’ve ever seen. “
The first 100 members of the club were given free gift bags containing the Planet Fitness swag, five-star vitamin samples, and coupons from local businesses.
