MVP Health Care has partnered with the National Fitness Campaign to build 10-15 outdoor fitness courts in New York and Vermont that will be easily accessible to the public in 2022.

The fitness center is a free, 7-minute, full-body, outdoor workout system for adults of all ages and fitness levels. As part of NFC’s efforts to enable public spaces, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide equal access to outdoor exercise programs, the fitness court will be a pillar of training in both states and on top of the success of the first fitness court build by MVP. which was introduced in the city of Rochester in 2019.

“The introduction of the MVP Health Care Fitness Courts is a monumental step towards accessing resources that can forever transform the path of human health and wellbeing,” said Christopher Del Vecchio, president and chief executive officer of MVP Health Care. “As the leading health services company in the Northeast, investing in our local communities and offering new, innovative and exciting options like the Fitness Court is intensifying our commitment to giving back to the people and places we call home. We are proud to partner with NFC to bring this unique opportunity to New York and Vermont and look forward to seeing you at the fitness courts. ”

MVP and NFC are asking local governments or universities interested in a fitness court in their city or campus to apply for funding to build a fitness court in their community. Award winners will receive a wellness toolkit, training, and design resources to help plan, finance, build, and roll out their MVP and NFC outdoor fitness facility.

Members of the community also have access to digital coaching via the free Fitness Court app, which acts as a guide and “personal coach in your pocket”. This self-directed mobile support makes it easy for users to learn how to keep fit in just 7 minutes a day – and move at their own pace and performance level. The content is available to both individuals and groups for use on the fitness area.

“The National Fitness Campaign is proud to have MVP Health Care as a state sponsor in New York and Vermont,” said Mitch Menaged, founder of NFC. “This program will allocate tremendous resources to contribute to the important mission of fighting obesity and improving health outcomes as the network of fitness centers across the state grows. We look forward to working with MVP Health Care to make this campaign a great success. “

MVP and NFC will begin accepting applications for grant funding from today through November 15, 2021 to support the construction of fitness facilities in local communities.
